About this artwork
Stortorget is the great main square of Karlskrona, laid out when the naval town was founded in 1680 on the island of Trossö. Fredrikskyrkan, the yellow Baroque church with twin towers, closes the southern side of the square, and the statue of Karl XI, the king who founded the town, stands on the cobbles. The square is among the largest in Sweden, and the whole naval port of Karlskrona was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1998.
Every Jason D’s Vision image is an AI-generated artistic interpretation of a real place — original artwork, not a photograph. The label bar on the download may show a creative daylight scenario; that is artistic staging, not a record of a real event.
