About this artwork
Kungsholm Fortress guards the main inlet to Karlskrona from the island of Kungsholmen, the twin of Drottningskär across the fairway. Its three-storey donjon with flanking towers rises above a singular circular harbour enclosed by a high round wall, built in the 1830s. The fortress has been manned without interruption for more than three hundred years and remains a naval training establishment, the oldest continuously active fortification of the Karlskrona defences, within the UNESCO World Heritage naval port.
Every Jason D’s Vision image is an AI-generated artistic interpretation of a real place — original artwork, not a photograph. The label bar on the download may show a creative daylight scenario; that is artistic staging, not a record of a real event.
