West of Olofström lies Halen, the largest lake in Blekinge, its forested shores protected as a nature reserve and crossed by the Blekingeleden trail. At a narrow of the lake the Frickabron, a slender pedestrian suspension bridge built in 2020 and named for a local police officer, links the reserve's two shores. From the bridge the lake opens both ways, a long sheet of still water between pine and oak shores, in a district of more than two hundred lakes.
