About this artwork

Trollberget is the western entrance to Åsnen National Park, which was opened in 2018 as Sweden's 30th national park. The entrance is named after the legendary Trollberget, a great split boulder, and its rocky gorge — where legend says the trolls celebrated Christmas — is a favourite with visiting families. The area is often called Åsnen in miniature, because deciduous forest, pine and spruce, lake shores and marsh forest all meet in a small area. Beyond the shore, Lake Åsnen opens into an inland archipelago of more than 1,000 islands with some 700 kilometres of shoreline, about three-quarters of the park being water.

Every Jason D’s Vision image is an AI-generated artistic interpretation of a real place — original artwork, not a photograph. The label bar on the download may show a creative daylight scenario; that is artistic staging, not a record of a real event.
