About this artwork
Huseby Bruk, near Grimslöv in Alvesta municipality, is a well-preserved ironworks estate whose iron production, founded in the 17th century, was based on lake ore dredged from surrounding lake bottoms, with water power from the Helige å driving the mill and tilt hammer. Around the works grew a small village of workers' dwellings along Bruksgatan, with a country store, dairy, sawmill and mill. The large water mill by the bridge over the Helige å carries four water wheels, the blast furnace has stood at the centre of the works since the mid-1600s, and the manor house, called the Castle, completed in 1844 by the Hamilton brothers, stands in its park nearby. Florence Stephens, the last private owner, bequeathed the estate to the state to be preserved.
Every Jason D’s Vision image is an AI-generated artistic interpretation of a real place — original artwork, not a photograph. The label bar on the download may show a creative daylight scenario; that is artistic staging, not a record of a real event.
