Sysne is a small fishing harbour on the inner, western side of the Sysne udd headland in Gammelgarn parish, on the Östergarnlandet coast of eastern Gotland. When the state refused the Sysne fishermen a grant to rebuild their worn-out harbour in the 1950s, they raised the money themselves and built the deep harbour that serves the village today, with about four metres of water. Around half a dozen fishermen still worked from here in the 1980s, and the former harbour office now houses a small fishing museum. On the headland above lies a burial place from the Russian occupation of Gotland in 1808.
