About this artwork
Storängen, the great meadow, lies at the heart of Garphyttan National Park, one of Sweden's oldest national parks, established in 1909 on land that once belonged to the Östra gården mining estate. The park's open land is mostly old fields kept open by annual haymaking, preserving a traditional meadow flora of cowslips, viper's grass and milkwort, with wild bees and butterflies, that has vanished from most modern farmland. The Lövstigen, a green-marked gravel trail of about 1.6 kilometres adapted for wheelchairs and pushchairs, crosses this landscape where meadow meets deciduous woodland and hazel scrub. Around Midsummer the meadows are in full bloom before the year's hay cut.
Every Jason D’s Vision image is an AI-generated artistic interpretation of a real place — original artwork, not a photograph. The label bar on the download may show a creative daylight scenario; that is artistic staging, not a record of a real event.
