About this artwork

The Trosaån river runs through the whole of Trosa, from the town centre down to the guest harbour and the Baltic Sea. Colourful wooden houses, many with glazed verandas and decorative woodwork, line both banks, with small boats moored almost outside the front doors and little bridges linking one side to the other. Trosa grew as a fishing and market town — the river once linked it towards Lake Mälaren — and later became a popular 19th-century seaside resort. The town is nicknamed Världens ände, the End of the World, because historically there was only one road in and nowhere further to go than the harbour pier.

Every Jason D’s Vision image is an AI-generated artistic interpretation of a real place — original artwork, not a photograph. The label bar on the download may show a creative daylight scenario; that is artistic staging, not a record of a real event.
