About this artwork

The Nordic Watercolour Museum stands at the water's edge in Skärhamn, the main harbour town on the island of Tjörn, at Södra hamnen 6. It opened in the summer of 2000, designed by the Danish architects Niels Bruun and Henrik Corfitsen, and was extended by a further 400 square metres in 2012. The closed parts of its facades are clad in red-painted vertical wooden panels with dark-grey aluminium window and door frames, and a long pier runs beside it into the harbour. The museum is an arena for art based on water, pigment and paper, showing watercolour exhibitions from around the world, and five guest studios stand on stilts across the water on Bockholmen, linked by a slender wooden bridge.

Every Jason D’s Vision image is an AI-generated artistic interpretation of a real place — original artwork, not a photograph. The label bar on the download may show a creative daylight scenario; that is artistic staging, not a record of a real event.
