About this artwork
Äskhults By, near Fjärås in Kungsbacka municipality, is a village that was never broken up by the 19th-century land reforms: its four farms, Göttas, Jönsas, Bengts and Derras, still stand tightly clustered around the village square as they did in the 18th century. The buildings are of oak and pine, roofed with thatch, shingles or tiles, and have never been painted, keeping their silvered weathered timber. First mentioned in 1592 as Escholt, the village and its old field landscape were declared a cultural reserve in 2004.
Every Jason D’s Vision image is an AI-generated artistic interpretation of a real place — original artwork, not a photograph. The label bar on the download may show a creative daylight scenario; that is artistic staging, not a record of a real event.
