About this artwork

Råbocken, on the eastern side of Tresticklan National Park in Dals-Ed municipality near the Norwegian border, is the park's main entrance, signposted from the road between Ed and Nössemark. From its car parks a marked trail of about 700 metres leads to the park boundary, where the Tresticklaleden, also called Bråtaneleden, begins its circuit of this unusually large roadless forest. The identified segment rendered here is the trail's bridge over Tresticklasundet, the narrow sound the loop crosses before climbing toward Orshöjden and the old crofts of Karelös and Bråtane. The park's nature is sparse, barren pine forest with lichen- and moss-covered rocks and a large number of lakes, including pines 250 years old or more.

Every Jason D’s Vision image is an AI-generated artistic interpretation of a real place — original artwork, not a photograph. The label bar on the download may show a creative daylight scenario; that is artistic staging, not a record of a real event.
